Car Specifications

During the conception stage last years design team decided to go for a three-wheel concept with single driven rear wheel. This has not only many fuel-economic benefits, it also simplifies the design making the prototype better feasible considering the limited budget as well as equipment.

The specifications of the current design are summerized in the following:

1. Dimensions
  • wheel base =1.90m
  • track = 1.50m
  • height = 0.95m
2. Chassis
  • steel space tubular frame
  • double wishbone suspension at front wheels
  • swing arm suspension at rear wheel
  • rack and pinion steering
3. Drive Train
  • 15kW brushless DC traction motor (156V)
  • chain drive transmitting the torque form motor to rear wheel
