The NUS City Car Project is an ongoing design project performed by undergraduate students of the National University of Singapore. The students work on the city car in the framework of their final year project. The desgin team usually consists of 6 students, while each one of them pursues a dedicated workscope predetermined in the beginning of their work on the project. The objective is to plan, design and ultimately build a small city car.
The conception stage of the city car has been largely performed by last years finals year students. This years design team builds on these results by refining the design and building the prototype.
The requirements on the car can be summarized as follows:
- road going city car
- capable of accomodating 2 passengers
- electric propulsion
- maximum velocity 90 kph
- range depending on conditions about 50-100 km
